The six-week “Kids Fitness x Run Club” supporting Dog Star Rescue Veterans Programs returns to West Hartford on February 25, 2024.
Is your child too excited to be indoors this winter? Join us for a fun fitness class workout. This is an outdoor fitness club for children ages 3 to 13 that will be held at the Conard High School Track from February 25th to March 31st, Sundays from 3pm to 4pm.
During each hour-long session, kids run laps and do fun fitness activities like pushing and pulling kettlebells, dumbbells, weighted balls, jump ropes, agility ladders, and even heavy sleds, which kids collect. Earn a special amulet that you will love.
The program, sponsored by the West Hartford-based nonprofit organization Fitness Class Training, was held by then-8-year-old George Udall, who held classes for friends and family in his backyard to raise money for his favorite charities. Established in 2020 by planning fitness classes. Certified fitness experts and enthusiasts lead the program along with George, who loves encouraging kids to do their best.
Now in its fourth year, FCT has hosted dozens of fitness programs for adults and children, including a popular after-school program at Bagby Elementary School, and donated more than $50,000 to charities. All proceeds from this winter program will benefit Dog Star Rescue’s Veterans Program.
Registration is $55 for the 6-week program and includes an FCT T-shirt and bonus charm. Parents are encouraged to do fitness and running with their children. It’s free to attend and makes a great family activity to round out a busy weekend.
