President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden shared a New Year’s Eve message with Ryan Seacrest on ABC Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on sunday.
When asked by Seacrest about his favorite memory of the year, the president replied: He said, “Joey, work is about more than a paycheck.” It’s about your dignity. It’s about respect. ” We brought a lot of jobs back to the United States. People are now in a position to earn a living. It has created over 14 million jobs. I’m really glad that the American people stood up for this. They’ve had a tough time with the pandemic, but now we’re back and so are they. ”
Seacrest also asked what kind of food the president enjoys during the holidays, and Biden said he’s not picky, but there’s one food he really enjoys.
“I eat everything in sight, but I ate a lot of my favorite pasta, Chicken Parmesan. “I basically just eat Italian food,” he said.
“And ice cream,” the first lady interjected.
“And chocolate chip ice cream,” agreed the president.
The Bidens emerged from their vacation destination on St. Croix, Virgin Islands. The White House said the interview took place on Saturday.
He concluded the interview by talking about his resolutions for the new year.
“I hope everyone has a healthy, happy and safe New Year,” Joe Biden said. “But more than that, I hope they understand that we are in a better position than any other country in the world to lead the world. And we will be back, so no more. It’s time.”
Jill Biden added of her hopes for America: “What I keep telling my students is to stay positive, be optimistic, and be kind to each other.”
