Kourtney Kardashian, who just delighted fans with photos of baby Rocky Thirteen, has revealed details about her postpartum experience and emphasized the importance of motherhood.
On Saturday, the Poosh entrepreneur shared her postpartum exercise program on her Instagram Stories, just weeks after giving birth to her baby boy.
Kourtney and her spouse Travis Barker announced the birth of their son, Rocky Thirteen, in early November. They each had three children from previous partnerships.
Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 9, are Kourtney’s children with ex-husband Scott Disick. Meanwhile, Travis and his ex-spouse Shana Moakler have three children together. Landon is 20 years old, Alabama is 17 years old, and Atiana is 24 years old.
Kourtney Kardashian’s workout and diet
Kourtney Kardashian is working out for the first time since giving birth to her son Rocky. She posted the message on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 20, along with a video of herself jogging on her treadmill.
“7 weeks postpartum: I took it easy on the first day by going to the gym for 30 minutes and walking at an incline of 3.0 to 12.0.”
The video focused on her strong legs as she slowly walked on a treadmill. This insight into her workout routine was a subtly strong nod to her return to self-care after giving birth.
Emphasizing that postpartum fitness is about healing, not racing, she walked for 30 minutes on a treadmill at a 12.0% incline.
The 44-year-old doesn’t seem to be putting a strain on food as she’s settled at home with her little baby.
“Having the most important job in the world… being a mom.”
Instead, Kourtney told fans in a Dec. 23 Instagram Story post that she is focusing on what’s next.
“Keeping your baby alive means keeping your calories high by eating lots of nutritious food on demand,” she continued.
Kourtney Kardashian completes the 12-3-30 workout, known as the Hot Chick Walk, on a treadmill.
Set the treadmill incline to 12 degrees, set your pace to 3 miles per hour, and walk for 30 minutes. This is a popular workout developed by Instagram star Lauren Girard. Sounds very simple. But as hundreds of commentators have stated, it’s “much tougher than it looks.”
Prior to this, she had spent much of the year flaunting her pregnancy and posting photos depicting various stages of pregnancy. She previously admitted that it was difficult for her to give birth in her 40s after marrying the Blink 182 drummer’s spouse.
Kourtney Kardashian has added more members to her blended family, allowing her to focus on postpartum rehabilitation.
12-3-30 Benefits of training
Walking has many benefits, including controlling blood sugar levels, strengthening your heart, improving your mood, promoting weight loss, and even lowering your chances of dementia. It’s also less taxing on your bones and joints than other aerobic exercises like running.
Incline walking is a great way to train as it works your lower body muscles and core. Walking also has cardiovascular health benefits, but to get the most out of your workout, avoid holding on to the treadmill rails.
It’s low-impact, safe, and anyone can do it by changing the incline, duration, and speed to suit your fitness level.
Without a doubt, it is important to match your diet with your goals. A woman’s body goes through many physical and mental changes after giving birth, so recovery usually takes about three months.
Therefore, incorporating a workout after giving birth is essential to help your body recover, as Kourtney Kardashian demonstrated.
